The Housing Authority of the City of Frederick was established in 1938, for the purpose of providing decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing for low-to-moderate income families. The Housing Authority currently operates 322 units located in four (4) public housing communities. Those four communities are: Lincoln Apartments, Carver Apartments, Catoctin View Apartments, and the Sagner Housing Development. Applications for public housing are accepted on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm. The Housing Authority also operates over 600 section-8 units.
